Developer Advocate

We are growing the team and currently looking for a talented Developer Advocate to own and produce high-quality technical documentation and other technical assets with the goal to win the hearts and minds of technical audiences. You will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing and Management and other stakeholders to understand the complexities of our technology and clearly communicate how it works and why it matters.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, write, publish, and maintain technical product documentation including user guides, references, FAQs and release notes for internal and external audiences.
  • Produce and update documentation on product features including user manuals, operations guides, flow diagrams, video scripts, strategy and policy documents, and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop blog posts, white papers with support from the technical teams and other content experts.
  • Generate innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Research products, services, technology or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience.
  • Ensure the content meets established style guides and standards.
  • Work closely with the design team in the preparation of illustrative materials, select drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. He/she will conduct a quality review of materials.
  • Ensures technical materials are clear, concise and easily understood by various constituents.
  • Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communication, business administration or technical communication
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, particularly creating content for technical users
  • Background in engineering or computer science is a big plus
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technical information and explain it simply and effectively
  • Project Management: ability to identify and define deliverables, process gaps, and proposed solutions
  • Ability to work hands-on with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Problem solving skills; a self-starter who takes initiative
  • Multi-tasking and handling changes in requirements or schedule
  • Excellent researcher
