Introduction to generative modeling for time series data

Time series data allows us to analyze and understand changes and fluctuations over time, which can help with forecasting, detecting anomalies, and identifying the impact of events or interventions. It is a critical tool for businesses, governments, and researchers in a variety of domains.

This session is the first out of two, during which we provide an overview of time series data and the challenges of creating high quality synthetic data. We also explore the different types of time series data and some of the ways that synthetic time series data can be assessed.

In the following webinar, we explore some of the techniques used to create synthetic time series data along with the advantages and pitfalls of each approach.
